The Boys' Brigade Nigeria, Ogun State Council Executive ably led by Ogun State Vice- president (T&E)  Mr Oladimeji Onalaja and the state P.R.O  to pay visit to Oside Oluwole (Khoded) who is planning to break the record for playing Game for 72 hours, to show love and support.

Oside Oluwole popularly known as Khoded is a member of the foremost uniform youth Organization in the world, he domiciled in Ijebu Battalion in Ogun State Council Nigeria.


Abeokuta Central Battalion Council Chairman Mr Olalekan Olujobi send his regards and wishes on behalf of the battalion council.

The Organization of the Boys Brigade has from it conception & inception grown in to a worldwide movement having worked with hundreds and millions of children and young people for well over a century & four decades.


The Brigade method of training all through the years of it's existence has recognizes and ensured that the exuberant vitality and boundless energies of Boys need to be directed into proper channels through an attractive, purposeful, and progressive programme of activity. This includes drill, physical training, gymnastics, first aid, signalling, lifesaving, bands, athletics, camping, nature study, handicrafts, scripture knowledge, seamanship, etc which has been at least to some bearable minimum of consideration been actualized.


Today, the BB worldwide is growing speedily and taking over the Youth globally ensuring that the vision of the Founder, Sir Williams Alexander Smith continue to wax firm in this generation of ours.


As we mark & Celebrates the 140 years Anniversary of the Boys Brigade, it is my prayer that the core Creed of this ministry will continue to be firmly established, the Vision of the Founder sustained and the BB in all its spheres & ramifications of operations flourish to am unimaginable heights.

On this day "5th September, 1908" The Boys' Brigade was formally established in Nigeria, with the registration of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Ebute-Ero, Lagos as the 1st Lagos Company by Mr. (later Revd. Canon) H. Wakeman.

Rev. (later Ven.) T. A. J. Ogunbiyi became the first Chaplain, while Prince Oye Akitoye became the first Captain.


Today being 5th September, 2023 The Boys' Brigade in Nigeria is 115 years.



This is wishing The Boys' Brigade, Nigeria a happy anniversary...


May the labour of our hero's past, never be in vain.

SP OMOLOLA ODUTOLA TO GRACE 2023 ENROLLMENT SERVICE OF CATHEDRAL AKE, ABEOKUTA

 SP OMOLOLA ODUTOLA ANIPR, PSC TO GRACE 2023 ENROLLMENT  SERVICE OF CATHEDRAL AKE, ABEOKUTA.

The indefatigable and eloquent parrot of Ogun State Police Command SP Omolola Odutola will grace the 2023 enrollment service of 3rd Abeokuta Central Battalion Company attached to St Peters Cathedral Ake Abeokuta under The Boys' Brigade Nigeria Abeokuta Central Battalion Council on Sunday 24th September 2023, immediately after Ogun state independence service as the Special Guest of Honour and  Reviewing Officer.



Just as the ever gallant Chief Superintendent of Police, and Divisional Police Officer of Oke-itoku division of the Nigeria Police Force expresses her joy after inspecting the parade of the Boy’s Brigade and the Girls brigade Nigeria last year on Sunday 9th October, 2022. At Anglican Church Oke- Ijeun.

 The Company Captain Mr Temitayo Ayeelagbe (Captain) was accompanied by Warrant officer Mayowa Ogunde and Yakubu Praise (NCO) to visit the PPRO at her officer in Eleweran.

Central thrashes South by 4 goals to 1


As part of activities for the 9th anniversary of both Abeokuta Central Battalion Council and Abeokuta South Battalion Council  in Ogun State Battalion have a fun filled friendly match that was organized to pick Physical aspect from the pillars of The Boys’Brigade.

 PETER OLU AKINBODE UNDER 15 INTER-COMPANY FOOTBALL COMPETITION.


Based on the twin pillars of the Boys’ Brigade : Religion and Discipline, Boys’ Brigade Nigeria, Abeokuta Central Battalion Council seeks to provide a meaningful and enjoyable program that balances the four areas of boys’ life: educational, physical, social and spiritual.

Peter Olu AKINBODE under 15 inter-company football competition kicked off today June 10th 2023 at Cathedral of St. Peter football pitch, Ake Abeokuta with special dignitaries in attendance. The State President Mr ‘Femi Adeniji, Immediate Past State President Prince Adegoke Adekunle, Former National P.R.O Mr Soji Onabamiro (a.k.a SOJ) The State Secretary Organizer for Ogun State Mr Mayowa ably represented by his Assistant Mr Olalekan Adeosun, State and Zonal Bible Coordinator Rev Boye Banjo





The opening match was between 1st Abeokuta Company attached to Trinity Methodist Church Itesi Abeokuta Vs 5th Abeokuta Company attached to St Jude Anglican Church Oke-Ijeun Abeokuta, 5th company won the match on penalty after 1-1 full time draw.

Other matches follows up immediately as the results is attached below.



The final will be coming up on 29th July, 2023 to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the Battalion Council.

The Main Sponsor Mr Peter Olu Akinbode presented 3 giant trophies to the Battalion and it will be presented to the Winner, runners up and second runners up respectively.


The Chairman of the Battalion Mr Olalekan Ayinde Olujobi was excited with the turn up of the boys and the guest and encourage all players on Fair play.

OUR DEAR PATRON LADY EVANG MRS JANET EMI-OMOBOYE FINALLY LAID TO REST

William Walsham How ,wrote in 1864 that  

"For all the saints who from their labors rest,

who thee by faith before the world confessed,

thy name, O Jesus, be forever blest.

Alleluia! Alleluia! . [ Tune: SARUM (Barnaby) ]

Little do we know that the death of our amiable Patron Late Evang Mrs Janet Emi-Omoboye took a large space in the heart of many in nook and crannies of the state and across all profession after seeing massive crowd at the wake keep yesterday Thursday May 19th 2023 at her residence in Adatan, Abeokuta Ogun State.


The Boys'Brigade Nigeria, Abeokuta Central Battalion Council was in the for front of the activities, from honers playing at the wake keep, to making the mourners have joys in their heart


The band corps were not left out in the colourful and befitting burial bestowed upon her.



The Chairman of the Council Mr Olalekan Ayinde Olujobi (Capt) express joy and believe that the departed soul is resting in the Bossom of her creator and advices us all to live well so that we can also have a befitting ending.

EVANG. MRS JANET EMI-OMOBOYE'S DEMISE: A LOSS TO THE BATALLION, COMPANY AND THE CHURCH.



Abeokuta Central Battalion Council Chairman of the Boys' Brigade, Ogun State Mr Ọlálékan Ayinde Olujobi (Capt) has described the death of one of our Patroness, Evang Mrs Janet Emi-Omoboye as a great loss to council, and the Christ Anglican Church, Ìjemò, Abeokuta. 


The number 1 brigade member in battalion who received the news of Evang. Mrs Janet Emi-Omoboye demise early today Monday 15th May 2023, expressed sadness on the loss of such a unique and highly distinguished woman and world class asset* with solace in the words of God who giveth and taketh at will. 


He expressed on behalf of the Abeokuta Central Battalion Council executives, ranks and file deepest condolences to; the family, freinds, relatives and colleagues of the late icon  who was a shining light in all ramifications. 



Little do we know in December last year when she invited us to play Christmas carol for her and she was filled with utmost joy that it will be the last with us at the Battalion Council and it is therefore *expected that all of us still breathing the breath of life will learn from her good deeds and as well pray for the repose of his departed soul.*


"Calm is thy slumber as an infant's sleep; But thou shalt wake no more to toil and weep:

 Thine is a perfect rest, secure and deep

UNDER 15 INTER-COMPANY FOOTBALL COMPETITION

 The maiden edition of Abeokuta Central Battalion Council Ogun State under 15 inter-company 5 aside football competition  will begin on Saturday 10th June, 2023 in preparation to mark this year anniversary which will hold in July 2023.




The football venue is Cathedral of St Peter Ake Abeokuta.

 EASTER FESTIVE MESSAGE FROM THE DESK OF THE BOYS' BRIGADE NIGERIA, ABEOKUTA CENTRAL BATTALLION CHAIRMAN



Peace be unto you all.

I want to give glory to the Most High God for giving us the breathe to be a living souls and to see another Easter festival (His death and resurrection).

Am using this medium to appreciate all our Patrons and Patroness for their support since the beginning of the year.

 I also salute all my Co-Executives, Captains, Officers and Boys at large for giving their time, substances and energy to make sure that our Annual Bible Quiz Competition was successful yesterday.

All the Bible quiz contestants especially the winners were well congratulated, more grace to perform better next year, amen.

"For God so loved the world and He gave us His only begotten son, for whosoever believeth in Him, shall not perish but have everlasting life" John 3:16.

According to this text, four(4) important things were stated,

Love

Giving

Not perish and,

Everlasting life.

I want to charge us, to always love one another, to give to the needs (prayer, money, advice, motivation etc), to do good for not to be perished but to have an everlasting life.

I pray that, God will deposit the spirit to be doing His will in us always, amen.

At this time of Celebration, let us do things normal and to be vigilant wherever we are.

Also, let me remind us of our upcoming programs:

Officers Basic Training Course, from Thursday 13th to Saturday 15th April, 2023 at Remo Methodist High Sch, Sagamu, Course fee #5,000.

NCO'S Basic & Advance Training Course, Fri 21st to Sat. 22nd April, 2023 at St Mathias Nur & Pry Sch. Ijeun titun Abk, Course fee #1,000. Company and Senior Sections are encouraged to participate.



I pray that, the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ shall not be in vain in our lifes, Amen.

2023 ACTIVITIES OF ABEOKUTA CENTRAL BATTALION COUNCIL BEGINS

 Good day Boys and Officers of our noble organization. On behalf of the Battalion Chairman, Mr Ọlálékan Ayinde Olujobi (Capt) I want to welcome everyone back to this year's activities and we also appreciate everyone that has contributed in one way or the other to the achievements and success of the years past. We pray may the good Lord help us all in Jesus name. Amen 


This is to notify us of the first battalion general meeting of the year for this month which will be holding on Sunday 19th of February, 2023 at Cathedral of St. Peter, Ake Abeokuta by 1:00pm. 

Let us all commit ourselves to the work of the Lord and He shall surely reward us bountifully.
